Pup Art Concept Art

During my production of my own short film, "Pup Art," I did concept art (plus model sheets) when I was at Savannah College of Art & Design (2014-2015). Here are the selected ones that I can show with:

The beagle's name was Rocky. He was actually based on my real beagle dog, Rocky, who really inspired me a lot. He was a little rascal back then, but my family and I loved him. So I decided to make a short film with beagle that was based off mine.

Next, we have Sally, a little girl who was probably based on my youth (when I was a tattle-tale brat back then). But had been inspired by few fictional female characters for being bratty and spunky. The concept of Sally was to make her look like a little artist who wanted to do a project for the Art Fair.

Though, the early concept art of Sally wasn't reach to the light yet. So, I kept going to design her.

Finally, I made it to the final design of Sally, who looks like a "real" artist.

In this final design, her clothing was based on mine that I always wear for Fall/Winter season, while the striped dress reminds you of Tim Burton's works (Black-white/cream stripes are my favorite). Her hairstyle (brown hair in pony-tail) was based off from mine, but her eyes are in hazel-color.

These are the selected concept art that I did for my own short film (besides storyboarding). Hope you enjoy.
